The SLT steam treating mesh belt furnace is a continuous process unit that uses superheated steam at a working temperature of 560C to form a dense, blue black magnetite oxide layer on the surface and within the open porosity of powder metallurgy and ferrous parts. The steam treatment seals the surface, raises wear resistance, improves corrosion resistance and reduces friction, extending the service life of sintered bearings, gears and structural components. A wide 600mm mesh belt carries densely loaded baskets through three controlled zones with temperature uniformity of plusmn 5C, while a regulated steam atmosphere and controlled exhaust maintain the correct process chemistry along the entire furnace. It is a reliable, efficient finishing step for high volume PM production lines.

This steam treating mesh belt furnace is used for the black oxide finishing of sintered iron and steel components such as self lubricating bearings, oil impregnated bushings, gears, sprockets, cams, levers and structural PM parts, as well as the steam treatment of certain cast and machined ferrous components. It seals surface porosity, boosts wear resistance and improves corrosion resistance, and is a common final step before oil impregnation and packing. Powder metallurgy producers in the automotive, appliance, power tool and general machinery sectors use the furnace to deliver a consistent dark surface finish combined with improved functional performance at high production rates.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceEvery steam treating furnace is assembled and tested with live steam before shipment to confirm even temperature distribution and correct atmosphere behaviour. The delivery includes the furnace main unit, inspection certificates for the principal components, a full technical document set and spare heating modules and thermocouples. The equipment is packed in wooden cases with moisture barriers and cushioning for safe international transport. Our engineers provide on site installation, commissioning and process development for your parts and surface colour requirements, and the furnace is supported by a defined warranty and dependable after sales service.
Please tell us the part material, the required surface colour and hardness, the load arrangement and the target hourly throughput, and we will confirm the belt width, zone count, heating power and steam circuit design. We will then prepare a technical proposal, general arrangement drawing and commercial quotation. Minimum order quantity is one unit, payment terms are T/T, and standard delivery is 60 to 90 days. Contact our engineers today for a steam treating solution tailored to your finishing line.
